Timothy - the HOLY one

Timmy loves to wear this set of t-shirts which has many holes on it. Guess it is airy and not too hot for him.. i wanted to throw them away as he has really out-grown them. But he told me not to as he likes them and they are very comfortable. Whenever he wears them, everyone would laugh at him. He did not think too much of it until one day, one boy laughed at him at the playground. He actually came back home immediately to change. And these days, before he goes to the playground, he would make sure that he is not in one of those shirt!

To say that he loves this shirt could be an understatement... He wears them almost all the time when he is home. Recently, I had noticed that he wore this shirt on his first birthday and on almost all his birthdays till the most recent birthday.. yes! his 7th birthday!! Dont believe me? Look on..

1st Birthday...

3rd Birthday!

6th Birthday!!
7th Birthday!!!!

Below is a nice shot of Timmy in his "little white shirt"...

So, do you agree now that he is Timmy the hole-ly boy?

The Big ONE for Timothy...

From 2010, Bukit Timah Primary School became a single session school. This means that Timothy has to attend the morning session. I thought this can be quite a challenge as he needs to be up before the sun rises!

However, as Timothy was really looking forward to attending the "Big Boy" school, he does not have a problem waking up at 6.15am on the first day of school. He was so happy that i could hear him humming a song while taking his shower in the morning. But things changed the next day. When i woke him up for school in the morning, his comment was "What? today is also morning session?".. My reply "Timmy dear, it is going to be morning session for the next many years"... On the third day, which happens to be his birthday, his response was "i dont have to go to school. its my birthday today!".. my reply "Timmy, this is the BIG BOY school. Birthday still must go.".. On the fourth morning, his response was "I want to see Mdm Yazila and complain. I dont like morning session" (btw, Mdm Yazila is their Principal).. Timmy, Timmy...

But i must say that he has been doing a good job in getting ready in the morning.. (although they get up at 630 in the morning now instead of 615) He is definitely a better riser than Jeremy and even mummy!!

Timothy's form teacher is Mdm Idayu who happens to be Jeremy's P1 form teacher as well. Recently in the parent-meet-teacher session, Mdm Idayu was commenting how different the two brothers are.. Well, they are two extremes.. we know.. And the funny thing was Mdm Idayu actually commented about his "higher-pitch-than-usual" voice!! ha2

Timothy's best friend is Tze Hsien.. who is actually the younger brother of Jeremy's friend! As for school work, he has been pretty good as well. In Term 2, he has been appointed as Class Monitor and he is definitely very serious in doing a good job!

Looks like he is fitting in well... Well Done Timothy!

Below are some pictures captured on his first day in Bukit Timah Primary School:

Watching TV while waiting for his breakfast..

All ready for school... and All smiles from Timothy... but i cannot say the same for Jeremy... well, he had experienced school for 2 years already... ha2

Buddy #1 - Fadhil.. One advantage of having a single session school is that you have someone from the upper primary to be your buddy. This is much better compared to having a Primary 2 pupil as your buddy! Fadhil was a very helpful and patient buddy... (Timmy still call out to him whenever he sees him during recess these days...)

Buddy #2 - Joshua.. This buddy was not as patient.. i could hear him hurrying Timothy to finish up his food!

Timmy washing his hands before he went off to buy his food... Guess what he came back with..

RICE.. at 9.30 in the morning! In fact, he was having this everyday in the first week. i asked him if it was that nice. He told me he had no choice cos Joshua brought him there all the time! Told him that he can buy from other stalls. So for now, his favourite is ROTI PRATA!!

Putting his wallet away before he continues with his food...

Enjoying his drink more than his plate of RICE..

Timothy has GRADUATED! (Dec 2009)

Congratulations Timmy! You have graduated from kindergarten and is no longer a pre-schooler!

Timothy is the last among his cousins to graduate from Eternal Life Assembly Child Care Centre. He was looking forward to Primary 1 since the start of 2009! So, Bukit Timah Primary School...here he comes...

Kismis United Football Club

In the last 2 years, Jeremy and Timothy, along with their cousins, have taken an interest in playing football. This sport has now become a weekly affair. Every Friday evening, they will "practise" in the small little garden at Grandma's house (poor Grandma has to suffer the loss of a beautiful green garden) and on Saturday evenings, they will play with a bunch of soccer enthusiasts at West Coast Park. I must say that they have improved much since they first laid their feet on a football.. Now, let me introduce the players for "Kismis United Football Club...(KUFC)" .......
Jeremy - Midfielder

Timothy - Goalkeeper

Ryan(Red socks) - Striker
Ian - Midfielder

Sadiq (Green shorts) - Striker
Shukri (white shirt) - Defender

Joel (yellow socks and orange bib) - Defender

Jeremy's 8th Birthday Celebration

Master Cool boy turned 8 on Feb 8 (hey.. what a coincidence! Timmy turned 6 on Jan 6 and Jerry turned 8 on Feb 8 this year!!)

Jeremy chose to have a celebration at the beach. Again, he decided to spend the day with his cousins. Activites include roller-blading, cycling and building sandcastles.. We had a tea-time picnic too (with sandwiches and chips!)

Jeremy roller-blading

Joel the bike-racer, with Ian and Jeremy in hot pursuit...

Boys busy building the sandcastles, with Auntie Anna's and Auntie Dalia's help.

A few of them enjoying the waves (hmm.. which one of them has the cutest butt?)

Tea time...

After the tiring afternoon at the beach, we headed to Sushi-Teh for dinner...

Boys patiently waiting for their food.

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

Families sharing your special day...

Timothy is 6!!

Our cute little boy turned 6 on Jan 6. This time, he chose how and where and with whom he would like to celebrate his special day with... (no longer need Mummy to ask...)

We spent the sunday afternoon at the Fidget (at Turf City). It is an indoor playground. He invited his cousins along...

Dinner was at Swensen's...

Look at this cheeky expression! Simply love him right? (not for the Ah-Pek legs though)

Trip to HK and Macau (Dec 2008)

As this was the first time mummy and kids were going to HK, we were very excited.....its HK! The country with lots of food, entertainment and shopping!! (or so they say)....
Below sums up how we felt after the trip:
To Daddy, its work during the trip... so, its not as relaxing and fun.
To Mummy, its tiring, having to move around with 2 active boys. And the biggest disappointment? egg tarts are not in abundance! in fact, we ate egg tart only ONCE in Macau!
To Grandpa and Grandma, nothing new for them, but, hopefully it is good enough for them to be able to see Uncle Cher Wee and Aunt Ruby.
To boys, its superb at HK Disneyland and Macau!
====================================================================
Our first stop was a 2-nights stay at the Disney Hollywood Hotel. This hotel has everything catered for the little ones... toiletries, TV programmes, plastic cups and cute bedroom slippers. But food here was really disappointing. We had a "simple" lunch and for dinner, we were thankful for Uncle Cher Wee and Aunt Ruby. They brought us to this nice restaurant not too far away and we ate this delicious lamb stew.. Yummy.. Jeremy and Timothy.. glued to the TV.. early in the morning...

Disneyland was fun.. It was not too crowded and we did not have to queue a long time for the rides. The night performance was nice too, especially with the snowfall.. Picture below was taken while waiting for the fireworks display...

There was a particular ride that we all loved... Astro-Blasters.. The boys took this ride at least 10 times!!
Jeremy had a score of 999,999.. this is the maximum score that it could display!!!
The interesting thing about this ride is that it attracts not only the young!! Do not know what i mean?? Look below...
Even Grandpa and Grandma enjoyed it!

Our next stop was another 2-nights stay. This time, at the Venetian Macao Resort Hotel. This hotel is simply HUGE, and very nice... we all loved it! Below are some pictures of us "wowing" over the hotel room...

Beautiful pool but it was too cold to swim in there!

Macau is a gambler's dreamland.. ever wonder what the kids can enjoy?? well.. its the CUBE.. This place is managed by the Venetian Hotel. It's like a small arcade cum amusement park.. Besides a couple of steep slides, they have x-box, Nintendo Wii, soccer table and computers to surf the net!... Kid's dreamland!! Jeremy and Timothy practically spent the entire 2 days there, breaking from that place just for meals. The only thing is they do not allow us to leave the kids there on their own. So, daddy and mummy needed to take turns to be there to watch over them. Below are two video clips of the boys on the slides.

Our last stop... back to HK. We stayed at Panaroma Hotel. This hotel was a vast difference from Venetian. We did not even have enough space to open up our luggages! There was no shopping or eating spree in HK.. We ate char siew noodles and fish ball noodles most of the time... sigh! But at least we get to enjoy the view at the Peak and also, managed to have a peek at the well-known Ocean Park.

Sunset at the Peak was beautiful. The unexpected reward there was the finding of our very own.. Andy Lau!!

Andy's brother? Cool right?

This was late afternoon at the Peak..
Beautiful sunset with beautiful smiles!

Great Neon lights... and freezing cold too....

Ocean Park was our last stop.. the place was quite boring. Very crowded and with long queues for almost all the rides.. Very steep slopes everywhere too.

Jerry and Timmy enjoying the speed boats...
