Daddy's little secret

Daddy shared his little secret with Jeremy recently, and made him promise not to tell anyone, not even to mummy and Timothy.

That daddy is actually Superman.

I was hoping for a look of awe and lots of questions from him. Instead he smiled excitedly, which I suspected was more at the prospect of having a secret to keep between us, than the fact that I'm the man of steel himself...

Just yesterday I revealed more, in the car:

Daddy: Jeremy, you remember who daddy actually is?
Jeremy (after a brief thought, with a smile on his face): Superman
Daddy: Shhhhh..... (Timothy, mummy, auntie Ethel were all in the car!)
Daddy: You know those nights when you slept with mummy and Timmy first, when daddy have work to do? Actually daddy go out and fight bad guys.
Jeremy:..... (a knowing smile from him)
Then Timothy took over: Why you fight bad guys? Why you bring them to police station? etc, etc

Guess I'm a little to late to try to get Jeremy into believing that, and Timmy's a little too early to understand the implications of me being Superman. And oh yeah, he's Batman, by the way!

Gold Coast - Part 4

A few more photos to go...

<- At Wet n Wild... these are the "expensive" swim suits that we got for them, not that we were willing to pay a bomb for these "not-so-nice" swimwear, but because mummy forgot to pack their swim suits for our trip to Wet n Wild! Their disappointed looks made us decide to spend the money...heartache man!!

Mummy's daily dosage of "monkey business"....

THE GRAND FINALE...... Jeremy n Timothy shaking hands with Batman... the Batmobile... and Catwoman having a few words with the boys

Gold Coast - Part 3

<- Dinner at the Marina Mirage... Beautiful sunset....

Below: AquaDuck experience, the bus that can turn into a boat... and how each of us has felt (or at least how we thought they would have felt):

Jeremy: happy, even though he does not show it... cos he gets to "drive" the "duck...

Timothy: excited and happy... cos not only he gets to "drive", he gets to see the wheel and the water splashing from underneath the boat!

Daddy & Mummy: BORING...

Below: Our brave boys
(NB: Poor image quality the direct result of daddy sitting in the same ride and taking the pics over his shoulder with one hand and hanging on to dear life with the other)

Gold Coast - Part 2

<- Our Apartment, Carmel by the Sea, at Broadbeach

- > Mt Cootha... Loving boys, right?

Beach at the Surfers Paradise... Breathtaking views plus little hunks to watch...

<- At Seaworld, Timmy had a little mishap. Got a splinter and needed to seek First Aid as it was very deep. It was painful but he was very brave, and held back his tears till the very last one which needed a little cut on his finger....

-> Captain Hook's ship... notice the cannons were well decorated by bird's droppings? Mummy almost got one landed on her head! After that close shave, we abandoned ship immediately...

Gold Coast - Part 1

Yes, you guessed it - Timmy did go to Gold Coast after all! Batman and sharks were too much for him to resist...

Our boys had a wonderful trip and highlight of the trip? BATMAN, of course...

It took us a bit of effort to make sure that they get to have this picture taken. But it was well worth it.

Besides Batman, there were other "heroes" like Green Lantern (heard of this guy? well, we got to know him when we were there!) and the more familiar ones... wonderwoman, flash, robin.

And to put down on record, both of them went on a roller coaster ride, which even mummy thought was quite scary! It's the "Road-runner roller coaster ride". At first, Timmy wanted to go on this "Superman Escape":

After the "Road-Runner roller coaster ride", he didn't whine and insist that he wanted to ride on it again!! The poor boy had the guts but not the height to ride on most of the rides - no wonder there was no admission fee for him! Not even on the Batman ride, but luckily there was a special time slot that catered for children who do not meet the minimum height requirements - audio and visual only, no movements. Jeremy was the lucky one... went on both batman rides at least 3 times!

Well, there are many things to talk about but guess pictures will do for now...

Our sumptuous dinner... Seafood platter at Grumpy's. Jeremy experienced the wonderful taste of Calamari!
